LA PRADERA

Every May 15, thousands of Madrid residents come to have fun on the San Isidro meadow, known simply as "La Pradera", to celebrate the festivities of the city's patron saint, San Isidro. Both children and adults dress in traditional costumes, called "chulapas and chulapos" to dance, have fun and enjoy the day with family and friends. "La Pradera" is an ephemeral symbol that reminds us how simple it is to live and enjoy the present moment.
